Datsun in the East African Safari Rally MEGA POST…

Over the past few weeks I have been collecting various photographs of any of the Datsuns that were campaigned in this rally and had to identify the drivers in question as most sources did not know who was who, so it has been another interesting topic for me to expand my knowledge on.

SABAT Skyline 2.8GTX…

I thought I would post this great photo of the ex-Hennie van der Linde Skyline 2.8GTX that is now owned and raced by Dick Sorrenson, that highlights the cars history on the rear fender… ๐Ÿ™‚

I have a few photos I took of this car earlier this year at a race meeting and have never gotten round to doing a feature post on the car, and this photo has reminded me that I still need to do it!

I have been fairly quiet the past week, so here is a sweet KP510 Bluebird Coupe race car, running the fender flares I am trying to find for my P510 rally replica… Beautiful car that looks to still be under construction! Loving the widened steelies and Datsun “race stripe” ๐Ÿ™‚

Ewold and Minota van Bergen: Quick Overview

I felt it fitting that my 150th post on this blog, started on April 4th 2012, should be in honour of my grandparents and what they achieved. I found this wonderful piece in the archives I have on my grandparents, and I feel it is a great way of letting anyone who visits this site know just what I mean when I talk about my grandfathers reputation with the Datsun brand.

Beautiful GC10…

Here is another stunningly beautiful example of a tastefully modified GC10 Skyline sedan, also pictured here at the Sagamiko Skyline and Kyusha Meeting. This car just ticks all the right boxes for me… Perfect ride height, gorgeous Hayashi Streets and beautiful chrome work all add up to a car that I can spend hours just staring at.. Not to mention the colour scheme. ๐Ÿ˜€
